Billl & Melinda Gates Donate $90 Million to MCS

 Yesterday Memphis City Schools received $90 million from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and $1.9 million in companion funds.  This is the largest gift that the city’s public schools have received to date.  Read more of the story here.

Cash vs. Parents, Teachers, and Bus Drivers

MCS Superintendent Cash didn’t know what he was in for at a packed Board of Education meeting last night.  Angry and concerned parents, teachers, bus drivers, and students filled the standing room only auditorium to capacity to voice their concerns over the new bus routes and block schedules.
